Pick how your phone will report your privacy location.
The product is designed in layers so apps that ask for location can receive your selected privacy location instead of your true physical location. APK-only Lite mode is easiest; Advanced mode requires a supported Android build or rooted module once available.
Lite mode: mock location provider
Works on most Android phones without root. Enable Developer Options, select the app as the mock-location provider, then start a synthetic path profile. Some apps can detect mock mode.
- Enable Developer Options.
- Select mock location app.
- Start the synthetic profile.
- Connect a VPN near the selected region.
Advanced mode: supported Pixel beta
For stronger control, supported devices use a system-level policy component. This requires an unlockable bootloader and device-specific build/module.
- Check supported devices.
- Back up your phone.
- Install the signed supported build/module.
- Activate in the manager app.
Developer preview download
Current package includes setup docs and the reference mobility engine. The production APK/system module will replace this download as soon as the Android build is complete.
Protect IP exposure with VPN lockdown
- Install your selected VPN app.
- Connect to a VPN region near your selected privacy location.
- Open Android Settings → Network & internet → VPN.
- Tap the gear next to your VPN.
- Enable Always-on VPN.
- Enable Block connections without VPN.
- Return to Private Phone Location and confirm the VPN status check.
Planned app behavior: high-priority alerts if VPN transport disappears, public IP changes unexpectedly, or the IP geolocation is outside your configured tolerance.
Non-Google Android and iPhone support
Non-Google Android
Lite mode can support many Android brands. Advanced support will be added device-by-device for unlockable/root-friendly models such as OnePlus, Nothing, Fairphone, selected Motorola, Xiaomi/Poco, and LineageOS-supported phones.
Samsung/carrier-locked
Lite mode may work. Advanced mode is usually not a v1 fit when the bootloader is carrier-locked or Knox-protected.
iPhone/iOS
We can provide VPN setup and browser privacy guidance. Native iPhone-wide location replacement is not supported because iOS does not allow normal apps to replace CoreLocation for other apps.
